Jenny Kunde has grown up around horses and was on a horse before she could walk. From about the age of 2 to 6 years old she was out “helping” muster cattle with her mother on properties at Lake Manchester. Apparently she also used to fall asleep on the way home after most days of mustering. Luckily her reliable mount Tammy knew the way home.

When Jenny got older and stronger she started helping her mum break in horses for general stock work and trail riding. Her crowning achievement was breaking in her horse Moonshine who was a chestnut thoroughbred X Haflinger. Moonshine eventually went on to become a Pony Club mount and was sold to a horsey family that swore they would never part with him as he was part of the family.

When Jenny was 15 she joined Karana Downs Pony Club on her stockhorse X haflinger buckskin mare Larpaloma. Jenny and Larpaloma competed at many gymkhanas before Jenny decided to get a little more serious about her riding and moved onto her next mount Evening Flame.

Jenny and Evening Flame attended many pony club dressage, eventing and combined training competitions competing up to state level and won lots of ribbons and trophies before Jenny decided to focus mainly on dressage and start competing in EFA competitions. This combination then competed up to medium level dressage with many places and wins, and trained to advanced.

Throughout the years Jenny has also competed at numerous Ag Shows on her various mounts with many places and wins to her name.

Jenny now mainly rides in dressage and show horse competitions and her goal is to ride at Grand Prix level which she is now working towards.
