Are you a current horseridingcoach.com student in South East Qld? Do you need to get your practical tasks signed off but aren't sure where to start? Then read on.
Generally it takes about six 1 hour sessions to get your personal riding skills on the flat signed off providing your riding is of a suitable standard. In order for you to get your riding skills signed off in the quickest amount of time possible I will sit down with you and discuss what tasks you are competent with and then group the riding skills together in an easy to follow format. From there you can either use your own horse to get your riding skills signed off or you can use the Kulavale Equestrian Riding School Horse called Flash. If you use your own horse then assessment lessons cost $50 per hour. If you hire Flash then assessment lessons cost $60 per hour including horse hire.
Part of your practical assessment involves you demonstrating your ability to
lunge a horse including tacking up the horse to lunge. You can either use your
own horse to demonstrate lunging or you can use the Kulavale Equestrian School
Horse Flash.
After you have all your personal riding skills signed off you then need to demonstrate teaching a rider on the lunge. Again Flash is available for hire to have this task signed off. If you do not have a demonstration rider then I can arrange for one of my students to be your demonstration rider.
One of the hardest parts of getting
your coaching skills signed off is finding a useful pool of suitable
demonstration riders. As part of the service I can arrange up to 4 demonstration
riders for each coaching session.
A good way of keeping the costs down and getting demonstration riders is to form a study group with other horseridingcoach.com students. This way you can share lessons and be demonstration riders for each others coaching sessions.
